"As part of the benefits for welfare of our employees we provide healthcare through BUPA for all staff.

We were contacted by The Healthwise Group in October 2009 and were skeptical of the added value which was claimed they could provide to our contract. We subsequently met with Stephen Russell of Healthwise to determine the service level which we could expect if we were persuaded to change our broker. Having been with the same broker for a number of years we were conscious that our claims fund was not being managed effectively as we only received annual information on current performance plus alternative service provider quotes at the time of renewal.

During the meeting with Healthwise we discussed service levels, reporting format and frequency of reports with data content. When our Health Care scheme came up for renewal early 2010 we contacted Healthwise again and we received a very attractive renewal quote with detailed supporting information. Our renewal was placed with Healthwise and to date the service has been excellent and we have received the reports with all required data on time monthly so we now know instantly how our scheme our scheme is performing against budget.

We also met with our insurer earlier this year, something which Healthwise arranged, and this again was something which we had not been able to achieve with our previous broker.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Healthwise as Intermediary for healthcare provision."

"I had not used our various health care providers over the 20+ years I have worked for the company, until my wife's recent illness, since then both Erika and I have had regular dialogue with Tracey Swanson of Healthwise.

All I wanted to say was that the service Erika has received from Healthwise has been faultless throughout.

Healthwise have consistently made this difficult time slightly less stressful, as parts of the treatments have been NHS and other parts through BUPA and Healthwise have guided Erika through this minefield well.

The outlook for Erika is now good, although she will need 5 weeks of painful treatment soon.

"As you know, I have recently been in touch with Healthwise re using my BUPA cover. I have thanked Tracey myself but I just wanted you to know that she has been absolutely wonderful in terms of helping me during this last week. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She explained things very well, she understood that I needed to be seen quickly and she even arranged my first appointment for me as I was travelling that day and in meetings and couldn't do it myself.

I was able to see the GP on Monday, the BUPA doctor on Thursday and have the medical procedure the following Monday. I really appreciated her help.

I have only used my work insurance twice before for minor health issues and this was the first time that it has been for something more serious. It has been such a relief to me to be able to get answers so quickly. I still don't know what is causing my anaemia but at least they have ruled out cancer in that area which is a huge relief.
