Aviva have today followed the same stance of many other insurers by stating that it will independently audit the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, making appropriate refunds if they were found to have profited as a result of a reduction in claims spend. On the 24 March 2020 WPA the not for profit health insurer stated that it would look at the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, the insurer said it did not want to profit from a time of national emergency.
