Healthwise Limited was founded in 1993. We have since gained an unrivalled reputation for providing the highest levels of service to our corporate and personal clients nationwide and keeping costs to the minimum. Having agencies with all the leading insurers enables us to advise you on the products best suited to meet your corporate or personal requirements, comprising of the right levels of benefit, highlighting how competitive your premiums are and then providing an unbiased overview of insurer service standards.

We don't employee sales agents who are driven by what they can earn from you, all our staff are salaried and are handpicked based upon industry knowledge and have to fit with our culture.

Given that we specialise in these areas of insurance it stands to reason that we will find the best terms for you and what's more; we are truly independent. Healthwise will not be drawn into commission deals with insurers, therefore the advice given is purely in your best interests and not what we may earn as a result.

Bob Grindley – Managing Director
With over 25 years experience in the UK health insurance market, Bob formed Healthwise in 1993 having previously been the Regional Sales Manager for WPA in the Midlands and North. In 1989, he was appointed to WPA's Board as the Director of Benefits, having full responsibility for the Corporate & Individual claims departments.

Paul Swanson – Commercial Director
Paul is a co owner of the business and began his healthcare career with WPA in 1989 before leaving to set up Healthwise. Paul brings over 25 years experience to the business and is well versed in aspects of the healthcare proposition as well as Cash Plan and International healthcare. Paul is a keen golfer and is also President of a local Junior Football Club, having spent 9 years coaching before his son moved over to adult football. Paul also sits on the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) Executive Committee which promotes good practice and standards with the Healthcare Industry. AMII works with healthcare specialists and also the major insurers in the UK on product development as well as legislation.

Stephen Russell – Business Development Manager
Stephen joined Healthwise in 2008 as New Business Manager and is a welcome addition to the team. Stephen started his healthcare career with BUPA and spent 10 years with the UK's largest PMI insurer before joining AXA PPP for three years. Stephen is an expert in the large corporate sector and has an unrivaled knowledge of how to assess risk and therefore determine the premium payable. Having worked for the two major players in the UK gives him a unique insight into the pricing models of both insurers, which he now uses to the benefit of his clients.

Paul Hocking  – Business Development Manager
Paul  joined Healthwise in 2017 as New Business Manager and is a great addition to the Healthwise team. Paul joins Healthwise from UNUM having worked in the Group Risk sector for over 27 years, starting at Royal & Sun Alliance  (later to become Canada Life)  before spending the last 15 years at Unum. He has gained a specialist knowledge and understanding of the Group Life, Group Income Protection and Group Critical Illness market.  Having worked for major insurer's he has an in depth knowledge and understanding of risk which now uses to negotiate the best possible terms for his clients. Paul is a great people person and his attention to detail and his willingness to support clients makes him a valued addition to the Healthwise team.
